The Food and Drink Exporting Community gathered at the beautiful Royal
Lancaster Hotel in London on 5th December, to celebrate the achievements of
exporters in the UK food and drink sector. The ceremony unfolded after an
enlightening morning filled with valuable insights, fruitful networking
opportunities, and expert guidance provided by the FDEA team and FDEA
Service Providers. The aim was to inspire and equip food and drink exporters
with the knowledge and resources they need to conquer challenges and seize
the global opportunities that lie ahead in the coming year.
Winners of the biggest accolade of the day, Food and Drink Exporter of the
Year, was Smylie Ltd who also scooped the Wholesale Exporter of the Year
award. Dispatching ambient, chilled and frozen goods to customers in over 60
countries, this company is one of the UK’s leading exporters of British food and
drink. The judges were impressed by their international trade strategy,
underpinned by a commitment to global reach, sustainable expansion,
customer relationships and technological innovation.
